Slimline Tailgate is a light weight, durable, aftermarket tailgate upgrade for a Jeep TJ/LJ. Many stock tailgates suffer from a common rust issue at the base of the OE tailgates. However, Slimline Tailgate is made out of 3/16" unfinished aluminum, our product uses the factory hinges (not included) and location for simplicity (bolt holes pre-cut). The Slimline Tailgate, also, comes with a sleek, durable adjustable latch (pre-cut location), automotive weather striping (2) for the insides where the tailgate meets the tub, and stainless steel mounting hardware ([4] bolts and serrated nuts) to replace the factory hardware on the hinges. Unlike, many other tailgate designs, the Slimline Tailgate is a swing out, rather than a drop-down style, making it easier to access items kept in the interior of the tub.
